METALLIC STRUCTURES

The expertise was gathered by participation in several concept and product development projects:

*FHF and IMC are front, main load carrying jet engine structures, transferring engine loads through mount systems to pylons and then to airplane wings. TRF structure is the corresponding rear load carrying jet engine structure. The structures are mainly made of titanium, aluminum alloys, or inconel superalloy. The restricted structural requirements and calculation methods are applicable to them.

CERTIFICATION
The company’s personnel is widely experienced in the certification procedures – FAR 33 (jet engines) and FAR 25 (airplane including mounts) regulations and requirements, as well as in the preparation and issuing of certification reports – including further representation of projects in front of FAA authorities.
The ongoing product development projects are therefore always run according to certification requirements with minimum additional efforts for future certification.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT PROCESS
Product Support: Apart from the above the company’s personnel is also widely experienced in a product support. This enables to cover a non-conformance evaluation (NCR/MRB) as well as a redesign and product’s new applications using combined FE and hand calculation methods - often particularly defined for unique product support solutions.
Method Development: Method development for evaluation of both composite and metallic structure is always widely covered during the daily work. One of the examples is a Six Sigma LEAN process implementation for a composite structures verification, with significant achievement of method optimization and shortening of the analysis process.
